Label

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

Textiles with the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label certifies the chemical safety of a textile, guaranteeing that it poses no risk to human health.

At Carré Blanc, almost all of our collections are labelled OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. For further information, enter our certification numbers below on the OEKO-TEX® website.
[CQ 1233/1 IFTH; CQ 1233/2 IFTH]

All textiles labelled OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 are monitored at each stage of the manufacturing and production process (raw materials, weaving, dyeing), based on international norms and other leading industry standards across 100 criteria tested under laboratory conditions. Each textile is labelled with one of four standards according to its use (decoration, baby and children). The closer and the more often the textile comes into contact with the skin, the stricter the criteria.

Label

GOTS.

The globally recognised Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is considered the textile industry’s most thorough standard when it comes to organic textiles. The GOTS label guarantees cotton, linen or hemp that has been harvested without insecticides, pesticides, genetically modified organisms, allergens, carcinogens and other harmful substances. The GOTS label also guarantees an environmentally sustainable production process with around 50% less water than other production processes, as well as fair pay and decent working conditions for farmers, artisans and employees in accordance with International Labour Organization standards.

At Carré Blanc, we’ve produced collections crafted from 100% GOTS-certified cotton since 2019.

For homeware and home textiles that take care of the environment and respect our producers and partners!

European Flax®.

The European Flax® label certifies the origin and traceability of European linen. Harvested using sustainable local agricultural methods, this natural-origin fibre is 100% vegan, and is cultivated in France, Belgium and the Netherlands without irrigation, without GMOs and without producing waste.

As well as being healthy and durable, European Flax® certified linen is hypoallergenic and naturally heat-regulating, helping us to stay cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s cold.

Monitored by independent bodies, the European Flax® accreditation helps to guarantee the future of European agricultural industries and protects local specialist savoir-faire.

The European Flax® label also guarantees that textiles are produced in line with International Labour Organization standards.

Label

GRS.

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) label guarantees that the textile’s production cycle has used recycled materials during the entire manufacturing process.

The GRS label is an internationally recognized standard that requires a given product to feature at least 50% recycled textiles in order to be certified GRS-compliant.

The GRS label also requires the manufacturing process to respect numerous social and environmental criteria, such as the waste water generated, energy consumption, waste disposal, use of chemical products and workers’ rights.

At Carré Blanc, we’ve designed numerous collections crafted from recycled cotton.
